This pattern is worked in feltable wool yarn, in stockinette stitch, short rows, and some simple crochet stitches. The size of your finished animal will vary depending on the size yarn that your choose, and the size needles. I use a heavy weight 3 ply yarn, or 2 strands of worsted weight wool and size 10 ½ needles. Also used are size 0, 1, 2, 4. 6 needles and several small, medium and large sized crochet hooks and a large embroidery needle.  A'Rora is worked in approximately 200 yards of heavy weight green blend, and 50 yards of heavy weight light yellow wool.  The pattern also calls for approximately 100 yards of beige sport weight yarn used for the wings and 50 yards of sport weight
yarn in contrast color for the back spine spikes and chest detail. There are few dragon breeders around to argue confirmation, so use any colors you desire. Remember to double the amount of wool you purchase if you use 2 strands of regular weight wool.
