This is an intermediate pattern worked in stockinette stitch, ribbing stitch, garter stitch, Latch-Hook technique, I-cord, intarsia, and short rows.  This pattern includes the pirate hat, head scarf and eye balls, however This pattern DOES NOT include the Daphne Skull Pattern.  The Pirate Hat pattern is worked in approximately 100 yards of black or dark gray heavy weight wool yarn and is worked on size 10 ½ needles. (I recommend Churro yarn for the hat) Churro tends to be a coarse fiber that is stiffer, and maintains the hat shape better. Skull and Cross Bones Patch is made with sport weight white and black yarn on size 2 needles. The Pirate Head Scarf is made with approximately 60 yards red medium weight wool yarn on size 7 needles. The Feather Base – is made with approximately 5 yrds of medium weight wool yarn and uses a handful of dyed curly wool locks (Wensleydale or mohair)  The eyeball patterns are  worked with sport weight feltable wool yarn on size 2 needles. approximately 4 yards of white yarn, and 1 yard of black yarn. Embroidery, needle felting and simple crochet techniques are used to complete decorations. Use sport weight yarn in a variety of colors for decorating. Work Double Stitch Black stitch as one stitch
