This is a 3 Dimensional wall hanging done in stockinette stitch, using a layered technique to achieve the 3D effect. I-cord, ribbing and some short rows are also used. The pattern is worked on size 7 and 3 needles, using approximately 80 yards each of heavy weight wool yarn in sky blue, moss green, and 2 shades of faded yellow green as well as approximately 100 yards of white heavy weight yarn. Approximately 20 yards of medium weight white wool yarn is used to make the aspen tree trunks. Use a variety of greens, yellows, orange and browns to needle felt leaves, shadows and trees. A graph for the landforms is provided. Landscape details are created with embroidery, and needle felting.
