This is an intermediate pattern, worked in feltable, heavy weight wool yarn on size 10 ½ needles. Wrinkles are worked onsizes 8 and 3 circular needles. (The optional collar pattern is worked in bulky weight yarn) This pattern is worked in stockinette stitch, intarsia, and short rows. Simple chain stitching is used for detail work. The knit side will be the right side. This pattern uses heavy weight wool yarn, 150 yards of brown, 120 yards of white and 50 yards of black, and 40 yards of gray. The mouth is worked in approximately 40 yards of sport weight pink yarn on size 3 needles and a few yards of white sport weight yarn for the teeth. (Collar-optional approximately 15 yards of red and 5 yards beige. The finished project is then fulled. You will need a #16 embroidery needle or similar needle, and size D crochet hook, 2- 15 mm brown eyes.  Heavy weight gauge- 3 st per inch /5 rows per inch.
