This intermediate pattern uses feltable heavy weight wool and size 1 regular and 10 ½ circular needles, a medium crochet hook. The pattern is completed using stockinette stitch, short rows, and I-cord stitch. A few simple crochet patterns are used to add finishing touches. Alfred is made with about 90 yards of main color wool, 20 yards of pink wool, 1 yard of black wool for eyes. (1 yard of single strand light weight white wool yarn is used to form Alfred’s teeth) Feel free to work in whatever colors you like.
