This is an intermediate knitting pattern that uses stockinette stitch, short rows, intarsia stitch.  Embroidery stitching is used for details.  These patterns are completed in sport weight yarns on size 00 needles.  I start with 100 yards of each main color.   You will also use an embroidery needle, medium crochet hook, #16 or 18 wire for the stem, and 22 gauge craft wire for the leaf branches.
