The Christmas Cactus is a succulent plant that blossoms in late November and into December. This pattern includes a selection of patterns for leaves of various sizes, which can be put together in a variety of combinations. Use the large stem leaves for the trunk sections, and transition to smaller leaves farther out the branch. Each branch or combination of leaves that you create, will need to be done twice, as you will sew the purl sides together of 2 branches to form a completed branch. The pattern also has a variety of buds and flowers that you can add in a variety of combinations. The pattern uses 200-300 yards of sport weight yarn on size 000 needles, in a variety of medium
and dark greens and several shades of pinks and reds to form the flowers and buds. The pattern uses a small amount of white and pink thread. The pattern uses Stockinette stitch, I-cord, and short rows.
