This  in an intermediate pattern is done in multiple short rows to create a bubble pattern, stockinette stitch.  The finishe project is fulled, so yarns used must be feltable.  The pattern is worked in in approximately 240 yards of main color heavy weight triple ply yarn, and 50 yards of contrast yarn. About 40 yards of dark brown or black is used for the hooves. The pattern is worked on size 10 ½, and 7 circular needles.  Body - CO 31 sts ( multiples of 4, -1) There are 2 basic rows to the pattern. Follow the directions carefully. The pattern written in (bold) is the main pattern, while the directions for the bubbles at the end of each row or next to a hole vary slightly and are written in regular font.
